THE AUTHOR
Marissa Happ is an educator, therapist and writer. Since 2000, Marissa has had the opportunity to use clinical skills within a variety of health care environments, working with children, adolescents, adults and families in early intervention, public health, pediatric medical clinics, infant mental health initiatives and psychiatric hospital social work. Her current clinical practice includes seniors on Medicare.
In Higher Education for over 35 years, Marissa has worked with students at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level as they pursue their careers and is currently a Professor Emerita in the School of Social Work at Aurora University.
As a 20 + year hospice and bereavement volunteer, she appreciates the unique story of each person and the need for support at every stage of the life course.
